Imagine what you get when you take a bass player with a degree in trombone performance, a singer/guitarist who studied economics and russian language, a guitarist who moonlights as a medical student and a drummer who likes to play in three different time signatures at the same time...you know..."for fun".

Enter Alaska Factor.

An eclectic blend of music that counts the finger style guitar work of Chet Atkins, the brighter side of Radiohead and bass lines from the Bach Cello Suites as just a few of its influences. Their music is honest and accessible with something for everyone. At the same time their songs are written with a deceivingly complex structure that stems from the formal classical training of bass player Jamie Koon. This debut effort reflects the maturity of a band that has been together for years. But perhaps that is just testimony to the fact that their music is here to stay.
